About

Compass is a pre-configured, production-ready personal assistant persona that plugs directly into your OpenClaw environment. Download the config files, fill in your name, timezone, and preferences, deploy, and wake up to your first morning briefing tomorrow.

You are not starting from scratch. Compass is designed to give you a working personal operating system for briefings, inbox triage, task management, and weekly reviews on day one. The simplest setup of all OpenClaw personas.

What Compass handles out of the box

  • Morning briefings — weather, calendar, tasks, emails, and birthdays. Everything you need to start the day, delivered before you finish your coffee.
  • Inbox triage — categorizes emails, drafts replies, flags urgent messages. Cuts your inbox processing time dramatically.
  • Task management — running to-do list with reminders, priority sorting, and carry-forward for anything you did not finish yesterday.
  • Weekly reviews — what got done, what is next, patterns in how you spend your time. A clear picture every Sunday evening.
  • People memory — remembers names, preferences, important dates, and context about the people in your life so you never forget a birthday or a follow-up.

Best for

  • Anyone who wants their life to work better without learning complex tools
  • Non-technical users looking for the simplest OpenClaw setup
  • Busy professionals who lose track of tasks, emails, and follow-ups
  • People who have tried productivity systems before and want one that actually runs itself

Under the hood

  • No extra API keys — uses Google Calendar, Gmail, and web_search (weather). No paid third-party services required.
  • Quiet hours respected absolutely — Compass will never ping you outside your configured hours. Period.
  • Silence is a feature — no unnecessary notifications. Compass speaks when something needs attention and stays quiet otherwise.
  • People memory — builds a quiet database of names, preferences, and important dates so context is always there when you need it.

FAQ

Do I need coding experience?

No. Compass is the simplest persona to set up. Download files, fill in your name and timezone, paste into OpenClaw. That is it.

What about privacy?

Compass runs locally on your machine through OpenClaw. Your data stays on your device. Nothing is sent to third-party servers beyond your chosen AI model provider.

Can it manage my family calendar?

Yes. Compass connects to Google Calendar and can track multiple calendars. It will include family events, kids' schedules, and shared commitments in your morning briefing.

Compass vs Atlas — which should I buy?

Compass is personal life management. Atlas is business operations. If you want your mornings to start with clarity and your tasks to stop falling through cracks, Compass. If you need outreach, content, and client management, Atlas. Many people use both.

Does it work without a Mac?

Compass works anywhere OpenClaw runs. Mac, Windows, or Linux. The persona files are plain Markdown — they work on any system that supports OpenClaw.
